Hein van Haeringen

Born as a farmers son in 1941, he was educated in Veterinary Medicine at the State University of Utrecht. In 1977 he became the leader of the unit for Blood Group Research in Animals. An important step was made in 1986 when he started the private Laboratory Dr Van Haeringen Laboratorium in The Netherlands. Where he retired some years ago.

In 1978 he became a member of the preceder of ISAG. Hein was active in the organization of the 1980 and 2008 ISAG conferences. In 2006 he was elected as the treasurer from ISAG where he is very active with the restructuring of ISAG and the affiliation with FASS. Hein is standing for re election as the treasurer of ISAG and is willing to go on with those activities.
